Research Abstract |
Using a cutting edge proprietary finite difference time domain antenna
simulation software package, researchers will design and simulate select
antenna and interpret the results. Researchers may compare this work
to the experimental setup in CenSSIS's SoilBed facility.

Expectations of YSP |
Researchers will be expected to grasp basic concepts of antenna theory and numerical
simulation, to become proficient at executing numerical simulations, and
to interpret simulation results.
|
Helpful skills or interests |
Of primary importance is interest in computer programming. Any programming
experience is a huge plus. Additional interest in electrical engineering
in general or electromagnetics in specific would help, although this
is less important than the programming skills/interest and it may be
unlikely that any students will have these interests. |
